P.L.A.Y Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters

P.L.A.Y. Project Now Available!
Easter Seals of Southeastern Michigan is now offering the P.L.A.Y. Project to children through age 6 with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The P.L.A.Y. Project was developed by Richard Solomon, MD as a “train the trainer” model for parents to be the key in their child’s intervention. P.L.A.Y. refers to “Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters” and is designed to help children relove the three core deficits of autism: 1) self-isolation and imparied social skills; 2) language delay and impaired communication; and 3) stereotyped or repetitive behaviors. P.L.A.Y. is an intensive, cost-effective, structured intervention within the family home.
